Event Introduction
Building language confidence through recitation
This event encourages kindergarten and primary school students to develop their Cantonese recitation skills,
including language expression, pronunciation, rhythm, emotional delivery, and stage presence,
while fostering interest in Chinese language, literature, and recitation art.
Participants must recite one designated piece in Cantonese and submit a competition video before the deadline for judging.
The event is conducted through video submission, allowing parents greater flexibility in preparation and recording.

Notes on Entries
- Each participant may submit only one recitation piece.
- The submitted piece must be one of the designated pieces for the participant’s group.
- Participants must recite the full text according to the official designated version in the rules.
- Pieces outside the official list will not be accepted.
- Participants may not alter the content, add or remove paragraphs, rewrite, or change the version.
- The organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the specified requirements.
Video Requirements
Submission specifications
- Participants must recite clearly in Cantonese.
- The participant’s face must be clearly visible in the video.
- The audio must be clear and free from excessive background noise.
- Videos may be recorded in portrait or landscape orientation.
- Recommended length: 1 to 3 minutes.
- The content must be complete and not partial.
- Heavy post-production sound effects or editing are not recommended to ensure fairness.
- The organizer may reject videos that are unplayable, unclear, incomplete, or submitted late.
Registration Process
How to register and submit

Parent or guardian completes the registration form
All participants must be registered by a parent or guardian with accurate personal information, group selection, and designated piece selection.

Complete payment
Participants must complete payment according to the organizer’s instructions and submit proof of payment afterward.

Wait for registration confirmation
Registration becomes valid only after the organizer confirms the submitted information and payment.

Submit the video
Submit the competition video before the deadline according to the event requirements.
Judging Criteria
Clear standards for meaningful progress
Pronunciation
Assessment of accurate, clear, and natural Cantonese pronunciation.
Rhythm
Assessment of pacing, pauses, beat, and overall fluency.
Emotion
Assessment of whether the participant expresses the content and feelings appropriately.
Stage Presence
Assessment of posture, facial expression, confidence, and overall performance delivery.
Overall Performance
Assessment of completion, expressiveness, and overall impact.
Grading System
Each judging item will be graded as A, B, C, or D, followed by an overall assessment.
Supplementary Terms
Results, data use, and refund policy
Results Announcement
- The competition results will be announced by the organizer through designated channels.
- Parents may be notified through Facebook, WhatsApp, email, or other methods.
- All judging results are subject to the organizer’s final announcement.
Use of Photos, Videos, and Information
- Submitted videos and information will be used for registration verification, administration, judging, and results announcement.
- With parent or guardian consent, the organizer may use participants’ names, photos, video clips, or event outcomes for reasonable promotional purposes.
- If parents do not agree to public display, please indicate this during registration.
Refunds and Changes
- Once registration is confirmed and payment is completed, refunds are generally not available.
- If the event is cancelled or changed due to special circumstances, administrative arrangements, or force majeure, the organizer will announce the relevant arrangements separately.
- The organizer reserves the right to change event dates, judging arrangements, submission methods, certificate format, and other details.

- All registration information must be true and accurate.
- The organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants for false information, rule violations, impersonation, non-compliant entries, or other improper conduct.
- The organizer reserves the final right of decision on all arrangements, judging criteria, results, and related matters.
