All participants are eligible for a certificate. Each participant who completes registration and submits a qualified entry will receive a certificate according to the final grading.

Event Introduction

Building language confidence through story speaking

This event encourages kindergarten and primary school students to develop their English story speaking skills, including pronunciation, fluency, emotional delivery, language expression, and stage presence, while fostering interest in English learning and public speaking.

Participants must tell one designated story in English and submit a competition video before the deadline for judging. The event is conducted through video submission, allowing parents greater flexibility in preparation and recording.

Kindergarten Group

For kindergarten students.

Lower Primary Group (P1-P3)

For Primary 1 to Primary 3 students.

Upper Primary Group (P4-P6)

For Primary 4 to Primary 6 students.

Event format: video submission before the specified deadline for judging.

Notes on Story Entries

  • Each participant may submit only one story.
  • The submitted entry must be one of the designated stories for the participant’s group.
  • Stories outside the official list will not be accepted.
  • The organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the specified requirements.

Video Requirements

Submission specifications

  • Participants must tell the story clearly in English.
  • The participant’s face must be clearly visible in the video.
  • The audio must be clear and free from excessive background noise.
  • Videos may be recorded in portrait or landscape orientation.
  • Recommended length: 1 to 3 minutes.
  • The content must be complete and not partial.
  • Heavy post-production sound effects or editing are not recommended to ensure fairness.
  • The organizer may reject videos that are unplayable, unclear, incomplete, or submitted late.

The 2026 new season is being prepared. Parents may join the waitlist to receive updates when the sign-up method is announced.

Participation will be confirmed only after the organizer announces the updated process and reviews submitted information.

Submit the competition video according to the official 2026 season instructions once they are announced.

Judging Criteria

Clear standards for meaningful progress

Pronunciation

Assessment of accurate, clear, and natural English pronunciation.

Fluency

Assessment of pacing, pauses, coherence, and natural delivery.

Emotion

Assessment of whether the participant expresses the story content and feelings appropriately.

Stage Presence

Assessment of posture, facial expression, confidence, and overall performance delivery.

Overall Performance

Assessment of completion, expressiveness, and overall impact.

Grading System

Each judging item will be graded as A, B, C, or D, followed by an overall assessment.

Supplementary Terms

Results, data use, and changes

Results Announcement

  • The competition results will be announced by the organizer through designated channels.
  • Parents may be notified through Facebook, WhatsApp, email, or other methods.
  • All judging results are subject to the organizer’s final announcement.

Use of Photos, Videos, and Information

  • Submitted videos and information will be used for entry review, administration, judging, and results announcement.
  • With parent or guardian consent, the organizer may use participants’ names, photos, video clips, or event outcomes for reasonable promotional purposes.
  • If parents do not agree to public display, please indicate this when submitting formal participation information.

Changes

  • 2026 activity details must be confirmed before formal registration opens.
  • If the event is cancelled or changed due to special circumstances, administrative arrangements, or force majeure, the organizer will announce the relevant arrangements separately.
  • The organizer reserves the right to change event dates, judging arrangements, submission methods, certificate format, and other details.

  • When official registration reopens, submitting the registration form confirms that the parent or guardian has read, understood, and agreed to these event rules and arrangements.
  • All registration information must be true and accurate.
  • The organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants for false information, rule violations, impersonation, non-compliant entries, or other improper conduct.
  • The organizer reserves the final right of decision on all arrangements, judging criteria, results, and related matters.
